The Bomber Traverse

Hatcher Pass - Palmer, AK

If you're an adventure seeker who isn't afraid of putting in some work to get to unbelievable views, then this is the trek you want to take. This trek includes the comfort of multiple mountaineering huts to be able to set up basecamp along the way. Witnessing all of the diverse beauty that the Talkeetna's have to offer. This traverse is unlike any in world, guaranteeing beautiful views the entire time.

This trip can be broken up to go to the specific destinations if you deem there is not enough time to complete the entire traverse, (Upon Availability.)

This is a challenging adventure, featuring river crossings, glacier crossings, scaling over mountain passes, and navigating through boulder fields and thick brush. Best suitable for experienced hikers, and/or physically fit individuals.

This trek can be done in various routes, here are two of our favorite routes to take:

Day 1: Rainery (Mint) Hut
Day 2: Bomber Hut
Day 3: Seth Holden Hut
Day 4: Snowbird Hut
(A total of 5 days and 4 nights)

Day 1: Camp at Upper Reed Lake
Day 2: Bomber Hut
Day 3: Snowbird Hut
(A total of 4 days and 3 nights)

Day 1: Snowbird Hut
Day 2: Bomber Hut
Day 3: Seth Holden Hut
Day 4: Rainery (Mint Hut)
(A total of 5-6 days and 4-5 nights)

For this technical traverse you will need to be prepared for facing the elements as the weather can drastically change with very little notice. A list of recommended items to have for this trek will be sent to you via email, upon receiving confirmation of the route options you decide on, and the dates you have chosen. Rental equipment will be available upon request.

We will send a list of various locations that aren't too difficult to reach for you to choose, as well as a list of recommended items to bring, and must have gear that will ensure you will have a rewarding experience.
